Today I am sharing how to bake cookies without oven. So do not worry at all if you do not have Oven, you still can make cookies. Now cut the biscuits using a knife or a cookie cutter. Grease a plate or a cake tin with some ghee and place the cookies.
Steps to make Atta cookies 🍪 without oven:
- Sieve and Mix the dry ingredients together. If using jaggery then melt it with water.
- Now add the melted jaggery into the mixture. Make sure the solution is free from impurities. Also add the milk little by little and make a stiff dough out of it.
- Rest it for some10 to 20 minutes.
- After some time take lemon sized balls out of the dough and flatten it of almost half an inch thickness. Don't make it too thick as the cookies won't cook properly.
- Now cut the sides if needed to make it of different shapes and sizes. Here I haven't made any changes.
- Take a hot bottom kadai with a lid or big pressure pan without whistle and gasket. Preheat it for 5 to 10 minutes. If needed can use salt inside the pan for getting perfect oven like atmosphere.
- Once preheated, keep the cookies dough prepared inside it and bake it for 1 hour.
- After 30 minutes can check if the cookies are baking well. Can also turn the cookies for proper baking.
- After 1 hour. Open and take out the cookies. Let them to cool.. It will be soft when hot. Wait for them to cool down and it will be ready to have a nice bite. Hard and crunchy!!

Now cut the biscuits using a knife or a cookie cutter. Grease a plate or a cake tin with some ghee and place the cookies. Place a wire rack and a perforated plate. Cover and remove whistle(if using pressure cooker) or loosen whistle(if using idli cooker). Line a baking tray with parchment paper and set aside.
