Pretzel (No Knead dough) is one of the most popular of recent trending foods on earth. It is appreciated by millions daily. It’s simple, it is fast, it tastes yummy. They are nice and they look fantastic. Pretzel (No Knead dough) is something which I have loved my entire life.
One huge thing for me is that it is a No-Knead Dough, so you get a great result with little work. It is a dough that you don't need a machine for. You mix the dough by hand and you let the dough proof and ferment overnight. Pull off pieces of dough (alternately, pat dough out and cut to get more even pieces), shape into letters, hearts, pretzels, animals, little bites, etc. and place on lined or greased cookie sheets.** Mix the egg with a bit of water and brush all over the dough shapes, then sprinkle with some salt.
To begin with this recipe, we have to first prepare a few components. You can cook pretzel (no knead dough) using 8 ingredients and 4 steps. Here is how you cook it.
The ingredients needed to make Pretzel (No Knead dough):
- Take 3 cups maida
- Make ready 1 1/2 teaspoon salt + salt to sprinkle on
- Get 1/4 tsp Yeast
- Make ready 1 tbsp sugar
- Make ready 1 liter water
- Take 5 teaspoon baking soda
- Get as needed Egg wash or milk wash
- Make ready as needed Melted butter
Pretzels first originated from the European countries among monks. They are a type of baked bread product made from dough most commonly shaped into a twisted knot -pretzel loop" and garnished with salt. I use a bench scraper for this task, but a long, sharp knife will also work well. It's just like you're playing with Play-Doh again!
Steps to make Pretzel (No Knead dough):
- First take half cup of Lukewarm water should be 105 to 115 degrees.. dissolve sugar and yeast in it and rest it for 10 mins it will become frothy.
- Then take a big bowl and mix in maida salt very well.. then add the yeast in it and make a dough with water. Let it rest for 15 to 18 hours. Yeast has to do it work. Cover with a cling wrap and put a kitchen towel and leave it at room temperature.
- Then shape into a stick or a pretzel shape or even bites and put it in soda water for 30 sec and take it out put it on baking sheet and brush milk or egg wash and sprinkle salt or chilli flakes or coriander or saunf over it and bake for 10 mins at 225 degrees. Note : egg wash will make it brown. This pic is before baking after soda water.
- What is soda water boil one litre of water and the amount of soda mentioned above and immerse the pretzel in this water for 40 sec.
I use a bench scraper for this task, but a long, sharp knife will also work well. It's just like you're playing with Play-Doh again! Combine the water, sugar and kosher salt in the bowl of a stand mixer and sprinkle the yeast on top. Add the flour and butter and,. Dip pretzel in soda solution and place on greased baking sheet.
